Specializing in Neurospicy and Autistic Adults and Teens

At Neurodiversity Wellness Center, we provide tailored support to address the unique challenges faced by neurodivergent individuals and their loved ones. Our team of mental health professionals is highly trained in neuro-affirming and gender-affirming approaches, with most identifying as neurodivergent or LGBTQ+ themselves.

We specialize in working with adults and teens who self-identify as autistic, highly sensitive (HSP), or neuroqueer, have a diagnosis of ASD (Level 1) or ADHD, are gifted or twice exceptional (2e) or are exploring their neurotype. We have a passion for working with later life diagnosed adults, neurodivergent working professions or college students, autistic/ADHD women, and autistic LGBTQ+ individuals. We offer a supportive space for those who feel different or misunderstood.

The Challenges You Face Are Real

We understand that navigating a neurotypical world brings daily challenges. Like being frequently misunderstood and criticized. People may unfairly label you as “overreactive”, “too sensitive”, or “difficult”. They might discount how drained you feel from social interactions or sensory overload. You may fear making a social misstep, so you constantly monitor yourself, overthink, or beat yourself up. “Performing” or masking all day long to meet social expectations. People don’t get how exhausting and hard all of this is for you.

These difficulties and traumas are real. They take a toll on your mental health and body. Anxiety, burnout, loneliness, self-doubt, and chronic health problems may result. You don’t have to face this alone. We are here to support you every step of the way.

Do you or a loved one …

  • Have sensory experiences that are overwhelming?
  • Overthink interactions or feel social anxiety?
  • Get labeled as “too much” or “too sensitive”?
  • Feel like you’re performing or masking your true self?
  • Consider yourself a perfectionist or over-achiever?
  • Struggle to build relationships or read social cues?

If you answered yes to any of the questions, Neurodiversity Wellness Center may be the right fit for you.

Feel Truly Heard and Understood
With Our Neuro-affirming Approach

Neurodiversity-affirming therapy views neurodivergent traits as natural and valuable parts of human diversity to be accepted, not deficits to be “fixed” or “normalized.” This approach acknowledges the real challenges neurodivergent and autistic individuals face daily from trying to navigate a world that often does not understand or accommodate them. Therapists work collaboratively with clients to develop coping strategies and accommodations to navigate these challenges. This type of therapy nurtures self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-advocacy skills. By recognizing both strengths and challenges, neurodiversity-affirming therapy provides personalized support to empower individuals to live fulfilling and authentic lives.
